Bridal Fashion: Seven Brides 1916-2015

Seven Brides takes you on a journey through bridal fashion and experiences from 1916 to present day. The unique dresses and accessories of seven women are on display, highlighting the changing styles of wedding wear through to the 21st century.

Contemporary brides will share their personal and individual experiences in a short film about their bridal attire and its importance. To complement this short film, all visitors are encouraged to share their own experiences of marriage, weddings and their bridal outfits on our tag wall. From the traditional white dress to the unique and colourful gown, this exhibition intends to explore whatever it means to be a bride.
