Carmen Lomana’s wardrobe
The Museum inaugurates with this exhibition a new exhibition format. The idea is to show the content of the wardrobe of relevant personalities in terms of style in our country, and as the first protagonist we have an exceptional character, the businesswoman Carmen Lomana, owner of an amazing collection of high fashion. Lomana, well known for her media appearances, in which she has worn some of her best pieces, has turned her passion for fashion into a collection worthy of the best museums in the world, with magnificent examples of the most desired firms: the Dior of John Galliano, Valentino, de la Renta, Balmain, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Azzedine Alaïa, Alexander McQueen … and of course Chanel, their fetish brand, as well as the most prestigious Spanish firms, from vintage Balenciagas to iconic Davidelfín dresses.
The wide selection that will be exhibited, with more than sixty looks , will give an approximate idea of the good judgment with which Lomana has formed this rich collection. Her style features are recognized in each piece, which speaks to the businesswoman’s taste for the most creative luxury, with abundant winks at the forefront and a good dose of sensuality. A unique opportunity to get close to the wardrobes of one of the most outstanding style icons of the last decades in Spain, who is one of the few remaining haute couture clients in Europe and who must also be considered one of the great defenders of Spanish fashion.
