Constructivistisch drieluik (Constructivist triptych)
“Constructivist triptych” was held in the Centraal Museum. A triptych, because geometric-abstract paintings by Bob Bonies (1937) and fashion designs by Frans Molenaar (1940) were on display, while the sounds of Canto Ostinato by Simeon ten Holt (1923-2012) filled the exhibition space to every corner. Three apparently differently oriented creative faculties, originating from separate cultural disciplines. Folkert Sytsema wrote about this: “A deliberate pursuit of uniformity, in which an attempt is made to indicate that the various artistic expressions can be presented constructively in an integrated form. The urge to construct thus acquires an extra dimension, because the various disciplines have a relationship with engage each other.”
The exhibition was organized by Sytsema Art Consultancy in collaboration with the Centraal Museum and, after visiting Utrecht, would still go to Tokyo and The Hague.
The exhibition was made possible thanks in part to the Haags Gemeentemuseum, Philips, Sikkens, Linnenburo, Modam, Intermodel, Cristofori, CaterKing Verhaaf and the Amro Bank.
