Immerse yourself in African textile culture at ‘Pagne Africain’, a pan-African textile exhibition. An exclusive selection of African fabrics shows you the entire continent in cross-section. In addition, the fabrics expose the wealth of knowledge, history, spirituality and meaning embedded in the fabrics.

The exhibition presents the versatility of African textile culture and practice. Its essence lies not in the contrast between rich and poor, but in the wealth of knowledge, history, spirituality and meaning embedded in its fabrics, despite the stereotypical allusion to colour.
This, in turn, confirms the majesty of the African continent, which cannot be captured in a series of images, but is literally embodied. Because
African heterogeneity is too broad and diverse in terms of population groups, cultural heritage, historical backgrounds, ancestral beliefs, etc.
