Homage to Pedro del Hierro
Recently the fashion designer Pedro del Hierro (Madrid, October 3, 1948 – April 3, 2015) left us, characterized by the modernity and exclusivity of his designs. Since he was a child he showed his passion for clothing, he was a precocious designer and a great fan of art that was evident in his creations.
He was part of a generation of creators such as Adolfo Domínguez, Roberto Verino, Jesús del Pozo, Manuel Piña, Nacho Ruiz, Paco Casado or Francis Montesinos, among others, who started the path to industrialization in Spain.
His brand integrated in the Cortefiel group since 1989 made him the first Spanish fashion designer with his own boutique in a department store. Later his designs would be commercialized in his own stores, the PdH stores.
The exhibition has 11 of the pieces that were part of the exhibition in his honor that was held at the Museo del Traje in 2011: Color, Beauty and Time.
