Design Views Vol. IV Ina Budde. Circular.Fashion

Start Date 26 April 2018
End Date 16 May 2018
Venue Decorative Arts Museum (Kunstgewerbemuseum)
Location Berlin, Germany

Ina Budde sets standards in the fast-moving fashion industry with her designs. The DfC X JNJ collection on display follows the principles of recyclability with impressive consistency – in 2017 it was awarded the Federal Ecodesign Prize for this. The fashion designer counters the linear economy, which leads to a high consumption of raw materials and enormous amounts of waste, with recycling-optimizing design principles and fair production. Transparency and traceability of the materials and manufacturing processes used, the expansion of return structures, and the development of new usage concepts and sales channels are important points. In addition to the award-winning collection, the exhibition also shows new recyclable design developments by circular.fashion designer Alberte Laursen Rothenborg.

Design Views is a new series of exhibitions by the Kunstgewerbemuseum and the International Design Center Berlin .
