One superstar and over thirty costumes and designers came together for a stunning exhibition.

Kylie: an exhibition was a behind-the-scenes look at one of Australia’s most loved celebrities ─ the girl next door who grew up to take the world by storm.

This is a unique glimpse into the costumes and techniques that go into creating the image of today’s pop star – the Velcro, duct tape, the wear and tear, and of course the designers – Dolce & Gabbana, Gaultier, McQueen and Chanel, to name a few.

Visitors were able to get up close and personal with the outfits that have made Kylie a fashion phenomenon, from the gold hotpants in the Spinning Around video to the green tassle dress from her Intimate and Live tour.

What I imagine people will want to see is the wear and tear, the ingrained makeup after fifty shows, where the audio-pack rubs – these are the things that for me, bring costumes to life.

Also featuring unique photographs, costume designs and audio-visuals, the exhibition took a behind-the-scenes look at Kylie’s international tours and multi-award-winning career.

This exhibition delivered the complete Kylie experience – her music, live performance, fashion and star status.
