A Preston fashionistas journey to Hollywood is mapped in a new exhibition at the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.
Marian Clayden, who was born in the city in 1937 but became famous in the United States, took her love of textile art around the world.
In A Dyer’s Journey Through Art and Fashion there is a retrospective of her career as an artist.
It celebrates her experiments in dyeing fabrics, fashion design and haute couture.
Her designs have been worn by Oprah Winfrey and many Hollywood Stars.
Mary was honoured in 1995 when one of her collections won the Golden Shears Award.
The exhibition includes eye-popping silk wall hangings from the 1970s and 38 garments from her 1990s fashion lines.
