Nancy Dresses Fashion

In commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the Nancy doll, the Costume Museum has scheduled an anniversary exhibition in which 25 prestigious Spanish creators from the Association of Fashion Creators of Spain (ACME) have designed and made a model for this iconic doll. 

In this exhibition two concepts come together: the importance of the Nancy doll as its own and characteristic element of the Spanish toy production, present in the childhood of a whole generation of Spanish girls and on the other, the design of the great national fashion creators , of topicality through its designs and models. The ultimate purpose of the initiative is to unite two emblems of the “Spain” brand, the Nancy doll and 25 important designers. 

Nancy doll is one of our most recognizable icons. The importance of the doll and what it meant for the girls of the 70s and early 80s, makes it an exceptional model for the collections of current major designers.
