New Millennium
The first exhibition in the Fashion Room brought together 16 of the museum’s recent acquisitions produced around 2000, at the turn of the millennium. This choice testified to the museum’s desire to place Brussels and Belgian design in an international context.
Without claiming to be exhaustive, this selection reveals certain key fashion trends of the period: minimalism, hypersexualisation and deconstruction.
