ALBERTO SINPATRONION FIZJAVIER BARROETAANTONIO ALVARADOMARÍA CLÉMERCEDES DE MIGUELALICIA RUEDA
The first edition of the contest dates back to 1958, constituting itself as one of the oldest contests of these characteristics of all those held in the State. The initiative starts from the popular will and connects with the industrial tradition of the area. The Las Encartaciones region, where the town of Güeñes is located, was an important enclave during the industrial revolution due to its mining tradition and its thriving textile industry with the Encartada textile factory, established in 1892, as a benchmark.
Today, the event seeks to preserve the tradition of its environment and involve young designers and professionals in the fashion sector in this almost sixty-year event.
